2011 League Format & Rules

New for 2011 Tuesday League - Updated
This year we are continuing with 2 league pools determined by an average score cutoff of 57 (3 over par). Your average is based on your last 5 scores.  Averages have been calculated from your last 5 scores to determine the 2 Pool placements.

Pool A     <= 57.00  (34 existing players)
Pool B       > 57.00  (24 existing players) + New players

These Pool groupings will be in place for the first 5 weeks of league. After weeks 5, 10 and 15,  the Pools will be readjusted and the next 5 weeks of league (and the playoffs) will be played in these Pools.  The cutoff point for the Pools will be 57 all year.

Starting this year the Calgary Disc Golf Club is running league.  Local players must have a CDGC membership to play on Tuesday League.  Memberships are $30 for 2011 and include a CDGC shirt, towel and a Bag Tag.  They will be available on Tuesday Night League and Thursday Bag Tag nights.

Cost per week is $10 per player.   This includes $5 for payout, $2 for Year End awards and Playoffs, $1 for the progressive Ace Pot (max $100 per payout), $1 for "Old # 1" Ace Run (starting at $181!) and $1 for the CDGC expenses and course development fund.

Out of Town visitors do not need to get a CDGC Membership to play Tuesday Night League.  Come out and play when you come to Calgary!

Current 2011 Season

The CDGC Tuesday Night League is held every Tuesday night from early May through September. It is based on a handicap system of scoring, which allows every level of player to win on any given week if they can improve on their own average.  The regular season consists of 15 weeks, followed by 4 weeks of playoffs.

Detailed stats are kept on all players in Tuesday league.  Your hole by hole scores are available for every week you play.  You can use this information to figure out what holes you are having problems with and how you compare to the other players in league.  You can keep track of how you have improved (or not) over time by looking at previous years scores. Keep in mind that the changes in league location from Park 96 to Forest Lawn in 2010 have affected the scores and averages.
