Park 96 Disc Golf Course

                               Calgary, Alberta

The Park 96 Disc Golf Course was officially opened in May 2003.  It has the distinction of being the  first private community course ever opened in Calgary.  The baskets, signage and course development were entirely funded by the community of Parkland for use by its residents and guests.  It is surely the best course that Calgary has ever seen, and is introducing the sport to a wide spectrum of people.  It is now played by a great age range and has many families participating.  The Parkland course should be viewed by other communities as a model in successfully implementing this inexpensive and enjoyable sport for their residents.

Park 96 Reminder

Recently there have been a lot of non-member disc golfers showing up at the Park 96 gates wanting access to the park, which is causing issues for the maintenance staff.  The players seem to think that they can show up and gain entry to the park - this is NOT the case.  Park 96 is a PRIVATE community park and we are allowed access to the park to play golf as Associate Members only.  Associate Memberships are  no longer available for the 2009 Season.
By no means should non-member disc golfers show up and expect entry into the park.

There is currently no admittance to the park for Associate members guests - no exceptions.

Park 96 is a private disc golf course.  This means it is open for use by all Parkland residents and their invited guests only.  For more information about  'Associate Memberships' call the Park 96 office at 271-7516

In past years, players have enjoyed the weekend that has included musical acts such as The Wallflowers, Tom Cochrane, Randy Bachmann, Johnny Winter, Jim Cuddy, Jennifer Warnes, Jack Semple, Blood Sweat and Tears, The Mocking Shadows among many others.  Blues legend Johnny Winter was immortalized on our 2007 Solstice discs in the classic cartoon drawn by Vance Rodewalt

All holes have three tee-offs for Beginner, Intermediate and Pro, indicated by markers of red, white and blue respectively.  All holes are par 3, except for hole 7 which is par 4.   Note: In June 2006, hole #1 was moved to behind the stage.  In May 2009, the order of holes 11-16 were altered to allow for the more natural sequence from hole 10 basket.  The list below represents the new sequence.  Each hole below has a link to a picture.  Total distance from Pro tees is 1644 yards, for a par 55.
