Canmore Nordic Centre

Canmore, Alberta

UPDATE May 2007: The Canmore Nordic Centre renovations that kept the course closed for the 2005 and part of the 2006 season is open with a full 18 holes.

The Canmore Nordic Centre is located 2 km from the town of Canmore. This was one of the sites in which the 1988 Winter Olympics was held.

The Nordic Centre Lodge has many facilities including phone, cafeteria, meeting rooms, maps and information, day lockers, showers, washrooms, equipment rentals, and lessons.

This course is an extremely challenging, alpine course built on one of the many cross country ski trails at the Nordic Centre,  It is highly recommended that you wear good hiking boots. Also be aware that you are in bear country in the Kananaskis.  Click for information on Bear Safety.

  • Disc Golf course starts at the beginning of the 5km loop.
Most of the tee-offs have signs with par and yardage.  Some may be rock/wood piles on the side of the trail.
  • Awesome course! In the heart of the Rocky Mountains, the views are unreal.
  • Lots of uphill and downhill shots - very cool.
  • Thick forest, with fallen trees in most areas, some steep drop offs - Spotters recommended on some holes.
