Hi everyone!
Just a reminder that seeding for League begins next Thursday (April 26th).
Note that you can drop scores, so if you cant make it the first week, you
can always come out later.
Hope to see you all next Thursday!!!!!
Tanya
Calgary Disc Golf Association League 2001
To play in the CDGA League, you must be a member of ADSA and the CDGA
Seeding (5 weeks of play):
Cost for seeding: $20.00 (inclusive)
Week 1: Thursday, April 26, 2001
Week 2: Thursday, May 3, 2001
Week 3: Thursday, May 10, 2001
Week 4: Thursday, May 17, 2001
Week 5: Thursday, May 24, 2001
Tee times will be assigned the first week of Seeding and will be adhered to
throughout Seeding. Requests for changes to tee times may be made to the
League Coordinator and are at the discretion of the League
Coordinator. The first tee-off time for the first week of seeding will be
5:30pm. Disc golfers should show up as early as possible on the first week
of seeding in order to be assigned a tee time that they will find
convenient...in the following weeks of play, disc golfers will not be
required to show up any earlier than 15 minutes before their assigned tee
times.
All disc golfers will play in one division for Seeding. Points will be
awarded each week as follows:
1 point for every disc golfer you beat, and one point for yourself
(example: 26 disc golfers total, the disc golfer with the lowest score
would receive 26 points, the disc golfer with the highest score would
receive 1 point.)
The points from a disc golfer's three best games will be used to determine
seeding, the points from a disc golfer's two worst games will be discarded.
This will allow for late players in seeding, bad golf days, and dates missed
due to prior commitments.
Disc golfers will be seeded for league play as follows:
Top 40% of players will be placed in Series 'A'
Middle 35% of players will be placed in Series 'B'
Bottom 25% of players will be placed in Series 'C'
The Top Seeded Disc Golfer will receive a prize package which will include
money.
If a disc golfer wishes to join the league once it has started, they will be
seeded into a series as follows:
A disc golfer who has played 'pro' in a past ADSA tournament will be
seeded into series 'A'. A disc golfer who has played 'open' in a past
ADSA tournament will also be seeded into Series 'A'. A disc golfer who
has played 'novice' in a past tournament will be seeded into Series 'B'.
A disc golfer who has never played in an ADSA tournament will automatically
be seeded into Series 'A'. All decisions and exceptions as to seeding will
be made by the League Coordinator and will be final.
Cost for League Play: $8.00/week (or $55.00 inclusive if paid in full
prior to tee time on first week of league play)
Tee times will be re-assigned the first week of Series League play on a
first come first served basis and will be adhered to throughout league
play. Tee time assignments for League play will be made the last week of
seeding. Requests for changes to tee times may be made to the League
Coordinator and are at the discretion of the League Coordinator.
Points will be awarded as follows: 1 point for each disc golfer that you
beat, and one point for yourself (for example: 15 players total in a
series, the disc golfer with the lowest score would receive 15 points, the
disc golfer with the highest score would receive 1 point.)

Week 9 : Thursday, September 27, 2001- Money play...top four point
earners from each Series will play on same night. The points earned
during play on week 9 will be added to points earned while qualifying.
In order to qualify to play in Week 9, a disc golfer's points from their 5
best games are tallied, therefore a disc golfer only needs to golf 5 of the
8 weeks to qualify (if they are that good!), but a disc golfer who golfs all
8 weeks will have a better chance, as their 3 worst games will be discarded.
Money will be collected and paid out separately for each division. A
portion of the fees paid in will go to CDGA, the remaining will be paid
out in cash prizes to the top four disc golfers in each Series.
The top disc golfer in each Series will also receive a prize package in
addition to cash pay-out.
There will be prizes for other events that will be held throughout the
Series', these prizes will be awarded at the awards ceremony following
play on week 9.
Tournament rules will be in effect throughout seeding and league
play...for example, foot fouls, use of marker discs, etc.
