Hello everyone - here are the answers to everyone's questions regarding the Alberta Open.
 
there will be 6 divisions:
 
Pro Men - will play from the blue tees
Pro Ladies - will play from the blue tees
Open Men - will play from the white tees
Open Ladies - will play fromthe white tees
Am/ Novice Men - will play from the red tees
Am. Novice Ladies - will play from the red tees
 
Tournaments fees:
 
Pro (Men and Ladies) $40.00
Open (Men and Ladies) $30.00
Am/ Novice (Men and Ladies) $20.00
 
Registration will begin at 9 AM at the Backstreet Pub (directions where in the last e-mail)
 
All registrations received prior to 10 AM will receive a $5.00 discount on tournament fees
 
All registration accompanied by a food bank donation will receive a discount of $5.00 on tournament fees.
 
(Example: Open player who registers at 9:30 and brings a box of kraft dinner for the food bank will pay $10.00 for tournament fees instead of $20.00)
 
There will be a shot gun start at 11:00 am on Saturday morning.  We will then play a round of 18 holes.  There will be a lunch break (count an hour from the time the last group in hands in thier score card) and then we will play the second round of 18.
 
There will be a shot gun start at 9:00 am on Sunday morning and a second round of 18 after a lunch break. (same length of break as Saturday)
 
All pro players will be playing for CASH ONLY (well, there are some awfully nice trophies for the winners though, but you only get to keep them for a year, so they don't really count) - absolutely no prizes will be given out to pro players who do not cash.  There will be an 85% pay-out to the pro purse.
 
All Open and Am/ novice players will be playing for PRIZES ONLY.  No cash will be given to winners in these divisions.   All Open and Am/ Novice players will receive a players package at registration which will be in lieu of our normal door prizes.  We want to get everyone on the road on Sunday as early as possible, so we are giving out the door prizes (players packages)at registration instead of after the tournament. 
 
All Trophies, and CASH PRIZES will be given out directly after the tournament - at Disc Central.
And another point about early registration discounts....I must have your tournament fees in my hand by 10:00am for you to receive that discount. For example, if you show up at Backstreet Bar and Grill at 9:45 and there is a line up to register, and you don't get through the line until after 10:00 am...you will not receive the discount. I repeat, your fees must be in my hand by 10:00 am to receive the discount, no whining, no excuses, no exceptions.
