Greetings All,

It is time for the long awaited, much anticipated, Calgary Disc Golf Annual General Meeting.  
In fact.....it is LONG LONG overdue.

I would like to start this email with an apology.  I'm sorry I did not call this meeting earlier this year; 
leading our organization has not been one of my top priorities over the past year, and I did not 
recognize this fact until much too late. 

We have several items to discuss at the meeting.  These items include the election of a new board, 
discussion/resolution of our insurance issues, CDGA position on the future ADGA board, delineation 
of CDGA/ADGA roles and responsibilities, and future course development to name but a few.  
I certainly don't expect us to be able to cover all of these issues in depth, but I hope we will be able to
increase awareness of the issues, and perhaps plant the seeds necessary to bring about the much 
needed changes to the way we conduct our activities. 

Here are the meeting details.
Date: Wednesday August 23rd.
Time: 7:00
Location: #130 - 7330 Fisher Rd SE. (Right behind Limerick's and Big 4 Chrysler....Right next to Outlaws Nightclub).  

Specific details:  The meeting will be at my office. The front door of the building will be locked, but we will 
make sure someone is at the door to facilitate access.  Please call me on my cell phone (999-6516) if you 
have any challenges gaining access. 

I hope the meeting will take 2-2.5 hours.  I will have an agenda prepared to guide the meeting and help keep us on track.  
I will forward the agenda to Al Herring to post on the Alberta DG website for distribution.

I hope you are all able to attend. I trust that we will be able to move forward with a very positive direction 
and outlook following this meeting.  Constructive criticism, and positive suggestions are ALWAYS welcome....
please have your thoughts composed before you come; however if you plan on attending the meeting for the 
purpose of 'b!tching', please don't come....there will be other venues for you to vent if this is what you would like to do.
